The American Political Items Collectors, or APIC, is the only national organization designed for collectors of political memorabilia. The group publishes a magazine and a newsletter, and holds meetings attended by collectors from 50 states.
Benefits of membership include a subscription to a quarterly magazine called The Keynoter, and to a monthly newspaper called The Political Bandwagon. (This latter publication is privately run, but does contain the APIC's monthly newsletter.)
Members receive notification of several dozen political collectibles shows each year. They will also receive fliers and catalogs from a number of APIC member dealers. They may choose to join specialty chapters devoted to a single candidate, or to topical specialties such as local campaign buttons.
Best of all, the APIC is a community of trust. If you buy, sell, or trade with an APIC member, you know you will not be cheated. APIC does not tolerate members who are dishonest in their business transactions.
APIC is a friendly group, and collectors enjoy exchanging information, doing research and sharing what they find, and arranging trades with their fellow collectors.
